The next chapter

Before I begin, I want to give a big thank you and shout out to my buddy Jen for her help and nudging in getting our new website/store started!

This (the new website) is the next logical progression in the growth of "Bayside"- something that our "followers" have been asking about for a while. Other than being the platform to reach both those we've met or know and those we never will, it'll be a way for those wood product groupies out there (and you know who you are), to follow all things Bayside. From our upcoming events, to new products and ideas, to post event reports, to everyday wood shop episodes, I'm hoping that our blog will become an interactive exchange to give our customers the quality and value they're looking for as we grow. Obviously, there are many tweaks and improvements that will happen in the coming months, and we welcome your ideas and comments as we do.

Lately, I've been building and expanding inventory in advance of several large shows we have coming up- the Lilac Festival in Rochester, the Finger Lakes Art Festival in Penn Yan, the Finger Lakes Wine Festival in Watkins Glen, and, of course, and the Arts and Crafts Festival in Syracuse in late July.

While we genuinely enjoy showing, shopping, dining, wine and cheese tasting, and just being in the Finger Lakes region in the summer months, we're really looking forward to our first proper Rochester show at the Lilac Festival this weekend. We've heard so many nice things about these back to back weekends- it'll be great to be in the tent again, with the smell of lilacs in the air and, of course, rain in the forecast.(sigh, oh well!)

That's all for now. I'll write about our experiences in Rochester in our next blog.
